Feed The Children Donates Backpacks The Title I Homeless Program of Saint Paul Public Schools hosted an event in tandem with Minneapolis Public Schools Homeless Program to provide 1,960 backpacks filled with school supplies and nonperishable food items for homeless children in the two districts on August 14, 2008. |
Adequate Yearly Progress Reports (AYP) Each year, every school in Saint Paul is evaluated by the Minnesota Department of Education to determine whether or not the school has made Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) in helping all students reach proficiency by 2014, as required by No Child Left Behind. Title I schools found not to be making AYP for consecutive years are subject to additional requirements under NCLB.
